As I read through the book of Psalms, all I can think about is how we see David, the king of all Israel, as a mere man. David was a great musician, prophet, warrior, and king. God even goes as far as to say he is a man after His own heart. And yet, we see, throughout the book of Psalms, every facet of the life in this world. The very struggles we face today, came upon this man "after God's own heart."
Despite all that David faces and any wrong he commits, he stays in the face of God. We see him praise God, thank God, cry out to God, petition God, beg God for mercy, and even question Him. Through every obstacle or incident, David maintained a pure heart in that he truly wanted to please God. He was a true worshipper.
Our lives, our actions on a daily basis, are our true acts of worship. As we make decisions, speak words, and walk through life each day, we are singing our songs to Him. What kind of song does your life bring before the King?
